We’re Young

Comedy, Coming of Age

One fine day, Sebastiano Colizzi, previously an exemplary engineer and esteemed entrepreneur, swoops into his garden statue business aboard a skateboard and crashes headfirst into a bust of Saint Francis. It’s the onset of a particular form of dementia that, despite his seventy years of age makes him behave like a teenager. On the advice of his doctors, his family decides to go along with him, and his introverted sixteen year old niece Maria Immacolata finds herself playing a strange sort of ‘guardian’. No easy task when her grandfather is out of control and she is the only one who can keep him in check… until she discovers something in his past that sends them together on the journey of their lives.

Story and treatment by Fabrizio Bozzetti and Massimo De Angelis.
