The Man Who Stopped Time

Sport, Biopic

A fire burns inside Marco Olmo, worker in a cement factory: an indomitable passion for running that, despite his being close to middle age, drives him to participate in the most extreme marathons, running through mountain ice and desert sands. Until, at the age of fifty-eight, he decides to go for broke in the Ultra Trial of Mont Blanc, a punishing 158-kilometre race that crosses three different countries – Switzerland, France and Italy – and whose route involves a total elevation gain of around 10,000 metres. He will have to beat 3,000 runners and the most dangerous opponent of all – himself – if he wants to achieve a victory beyond the limits of human endurance.

Story and screenplay by Fabrizio Bozzetti and directors Paolo Casalis and Stefano Scarafia.
